Dear Parents and Carers
My name is Nafsika Smith and I am a Speech and Language Therapist. I work at Brunswick and Colleges one day per week. My role involves working together with teaching staff, parents, NHS therapists and other professionals for the purposes of supporting children who have speech, language and communication needs. This includes fostering the best environment for speech, language and communication development for all children attending the nurseries.
During my visits, I may spend time with all children attending the nursery on that day, whether or not they have known speech, language and communication needs.
If you are happy for me to be involved in your child’s speech & language development, you do not need to do anything at this point. If, for any reason, you would NOT like me to be involved with your child, then please fill in the OPT OUT form which is available from office. Whichever decision you take, it will be kept fully confidential and it will not affect any other services your child receives from the nursery.
Should you have any queries or need more information, please do not hesitate to contact me via the nursery office. A detailed form with terms and conditions, policies, and my contact details can be provided upon request.
