Colleges Mail – 05/10/2020

Dear Parents/Carers

Welcome to Colleges Mail!

Colleges Mail is an important link between Colleges and parents used to pass on weekly activity information, letters about trips, events and other miscellaneous information.  As a rule we try not to send out paper copies so please keep an eye on your inbox.  The subject line of all Colleges Mails will be, ‘Colleges Mail’ – followed by ‘ACTION’ or ‘INFORMATION’ as appropriate. At the bottom of this mail there will be a Save the Date list for your diary.

Additional Hours/Lunches/2 Year old Bills

Bills for additional care, lunches and two year old sessions are usually sent out by email at the beginning of each month in advance, with the exception of September which will be on October’s bill.  You should receive your first bill via email later this week.  All bills after this will be sent on the 1st of the month.

Parent Governor Position

We are looking for a parent to become a school Governor.  If you are interested or would like some more information please contact Sonia Swindells, Governor Clerk, at our federated nursery school. office@brunswick.cambs.sch.uk or phone 01223 508790.

Fruit Basket

We have fruit baskets in the Nursery and it would be very much appreciated if parents could bring some fruit/vegetables to share with the nursery when dropping off their children.

School Fund

Please remember to bring in £1 towards resources.

Security

The use of phones is not permitted anywhere in the school or the playground.

Medicine

If your child has been prescribed medication by the doctor please inform and complete a form with your keyworker.

Snack Food/School Lunches

Please ensure that you do not send any food from home except for fruit or vegetables for snack as we have children with a range of allergies at the nursery.  Any food found in children’s bags will be removed.  We are a nut free school so nuts cannot be present in any food items within your child’s lunch box.

School Admissions

If your child will be aged 4 by 31st August 2021 you will need to apply for your primary school place for September 2021.  Applications must be made by 15 January 2021.

All the information you need to apply for a primary school place, including an online application form and electronic copy of the full admissions guide “First Steps, Admission to Primary School; a guide for parents”, will be available on the County Council website www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/admissions .
