Colleges Mail 15/07/19

Dear Parents

Here is our ‘This Week at Colleges We Are’ for your information.

Nursery

We are celebrating International week, looking at objects and reading stories from around the globe.

As our butterflies have hatched we will be looking at pattern.

Daisy Room

We will be observing our butterflies for a short time before we release them into the garden.  We will be creating beautiful butterfly pictures.

End of Term

Your child’s end of term letter from their Keyworker will be coming home this week. With the letter is a short questionnaire on your child’s Learning Journey, EExAT.  We are very interested in your feedback and would be grateful if you could take the time to complete and return to us.

We wish our Bluebells and Snowdrops good luck in your new schools and happy holiday as we will not be seeing you next week.  This Friday is also Rachida Rasool, Snowdrop Keyworkers last day at Colleges.  We all wish her well for the future and thank her for all her hard work at Colleges over the years.

International Week

Thank you to the volunteers who have already agreed to come in this week and read a story from their own culture, we are still looking for more volunteers so please speak with your keyworker.

International Picnic – This Friday

Our picnic this week will have an international theme and we invite you to come along and bring a traditional dish to share with others, such as spring rolls or a lovely punnet of strawberries. The picnic will be held in the Nursery garden on Friday 19th July between 4.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. Please remember to bring a blanket and feel free to dress in national costumes for this occasion. It would be lovely to see some traditional clothes and share some food together. This evening will only take place if the weather is dry.

North Cambridge Community Partnership

NCCP are running the following summer trips and have asked us to share the following information.

The trips are 2nd August to Southend and 30th August to Hunstanton and we are aiming families that can’t afford to go on a holiday during summer.   This is subsidized trip and tickets are just £7.00 per adult and£ 3.50 per child.
